In September 2021, I spent a few days alone in Oslo, Norway. I arrived there for various reasons, including the intention to record a disc of the “siibihdii” project, and the place where I was staying had a series of decorations referred to birds on the floor, the cover photo is an example.
One day, during a tour of the city, I lay down on the lawn of a large park and, after a while, I fell briefly asleep listening to the background of nature noises, chirps, wind, small leaping footsteps.
Short moments during which real sounds mingled with imaginary and dreamlike sounds, where time had different, incomprehensible rules and where the human condition was momentarily forgotten.
The music of this record refers to that moment, between wakefulness and sleep, where the elements of nature and reality mix with the ethereal elements of the dream and the intangible.
